How many of ya'll celebrate Saint Patrick's Day?
I drove to the Dollar Store to find some accessories and they were WIPED OUT. WTF!?
No matter, Caitlin and I dressed green and found ourselves at a Steve's Green in Mountain View. It was very white and hetero! Woot!
And we got in free with a used wrist band and gum. "Just act cool" and we walked passed security. Sweet! (It wasn't our idea... this drunk dude offered the band. We would have been fools to say no.)
I even got into an Irish Brawl after my Irish Car Bomb. Sort of.
This 6'3 white dude asked the girls in our group to dance. They refused. He responded by grabbing my shoulders and shaking me violently side to side to some strange off beat in his head. I was so startled and he held me so tight. In other situations I would have dropped it like it's hot... but playing gay on Irish Day is not okay.
One of the girls touched his arm and said, "that's enough" and he backed off. I cowered under Caitlin. I'm used to protecting my girls... but man... I was useless!

I love going to different kinds of clubs.
I love going to ghetto clubs where there are songs that tell you how to dance... like THE STANKY LEG! Shiiiit. I LOVE THE STANKY LEG! It's almost as good as walking it out or the Harlem shake or the chicken noodle SOUP or the CRANK THAT. I fucking eat that shit up.
Or Clubs that play Americanized versions of cultural music.
I would be doing lots of body rolls. Pet the dog.. screw in the light bulb... pet the dog screw in the light bulb!
Or even REALLY gay Clubs (maybe)... with terrible redundant musical beats and sex spilled on the floor. (As long as I'm drunk and with Mr.HighEnergyMusic... who I haven't seen since... last time.)
I definitely need to check out the ElectroPOP scene with my cousin Jessica. And then Club Papi... some Latin boyz with Joe. I love all the flavors. Let's go.. let's go... LET'S GO!

I was seriously pumped after taking an awesome hip-hip class at Bally's (I pronounce it Balley's cuz I'm an idiot). The teacher girl was cute and groovy!. More chest pops!
Bally's is so superior.

Luck of the Irish...
The Bump & the Bang
There's something in your eye.
Oh, ... Judgment.
Right, but some are more vocal about it. Yesterday, at SmokeEaters (formerly Cluck-U) by San Jose State I couldn't help but notice the plethora of skinny jean, flashy-t Urban-Ghetto Filipino boys and Amy Winehouse, slutty Vietnamese Girls. So... of course for half off chicken wings Tuesdays.
I call this. the BUMP and the BANG. I didn't realize so much hairspray was involved to go out and get chicken. God, I didn't have my camera.. and I was dying. I'll be sure to repost with some authentic images.
I love the cute Asian thick side bang with some highlights... but all of a sudden these bumps started to appear on girls' heads. Some of these bumps were HUGE! it made me suspect that they were hiding pot or multiple BUMPIT products!
Dude, what if one of those things fell into the Chicken Wings!?! "Girl, your BUMP fell out!"
Oh golly, so many bumps and bangs.. I couldn't get over it.
Nice bump gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl. It's the AZN thing to do.

Coffee with Boys

When a guy asks a girl to coffee... it's obvious he's interested in her and it's her job to drop the FRIEND bomb so that he doesn't get hopeful.
When a guy asks a guy to coffee... he could be...
1. interested in a relationship
2. interested in some ass
3. interested in expanding his gay network of friends because he is...
a. bored
b. lonely
c. friendly
d. needs a ride to the club
e. trying to get into a mutual friend's pants
So often than not, gay folks ask each other... "what are you looking for?" It seems like the gay community really does love to be blunt.
==
So I had coffee, so to speak, with a couple of random guys. I find it therapeutic to talk to new people, get different insight, observe behavior etc. Especially those out of my network.
Last night I met up with this kid that I've become facebook friends with and talked on the phone with. I feel like once you're facebook friends... it's okay to meet up because there are lots of pictures to reference and you get an idea of what they're like.
At the age of 19, he is certified as a behavior analyst and works with autistic children while finishing up his last two college years. At the age of 23, almost 24, I had nothing comparable.
Pictures are funny because, once again, you get an idea of what they look like, but never really know until you meet them. He was actually much cuter in person, but I feel like our relationship had gone down the friend route (like most of my encounters). No matter. 19, is a dangerous age and much too young for anything but friendship.
He had a lip ring, he was tall, clean, nice smile, eloquant, intelligent... i observed his mannerisms... I observed my own behavior. Was I even trying to flirt with him... God this feels so forced.
My loneliness started to kick in, but I got that under control. I haven't been intimate with anyone since December and I was beginning to desire that quick fix, immediate gratification, to remind myself that I was sexual desirable despite my skin ailments.

Tangent
Quotes from Vietnamese people:
"What happened to your face? You need a facial!" My Aunt
"You need to wash your face 5 times a day, you sweat oil... you lost your handsomeness (Mat Dep Trai) but don't worry, just be successful and girls will come." The phlebotomist.
"Why are their so many marks on your face?" My grandpa
"Everytime I see someone with marks like your son, it hurts my heart." Lady at the grocery store talking to my mom.
Vietnamese people like to remind me how ugly I am.
==
I snapped out of it and focused on the conversation and company. I was just thankful to get out of the house... talking to boys is my therapy.

Finally, a fantastic weekend!!
I need to work to appreciate the weekends.
==
I got a call from Mony. He wanted a phone number. But then called back for lunch!
As we ate at one of his favorite sushi places, I observed that he had grown up appropriately into his mid-20s: focused, driven, determined, happy? distracted by what he has defined as important in his life. And he refused to let the "economic recession" be an excuse, but rather saw it as another challenge to overcome to get what he wanted.
It was nice to finally have a one-on-one again.

Caitlin the Ex-Girlfriend
Caitlin invited me to a Warriors game in Oakland. It was awesome!
We got tickets in the Suite and had buffet and dessert courtesy of her friend who worked there.
Though we were craving trashy nachos and less gourmet hotdogs!
It was like when we dated in high school and we were watching an Nsync concert, but we were in the nose bleeders.
"I should have known you were gay when you wore that Nsync t-shit"
"hah.." She forgot about my point red hair.
What's up with gay people and their exgirlfriends? I enjoy the Will and Grace connection that I have with Caitlin. Back in high school, we made a really cute couple. But eventually her taste shifted to beefy white boys ... who were usually straight. She is no fruitfly, I am her gay friend! And she is my party girl!
We cute.

The game ended at 10 and Caitlin offered to drop me off at Dragon because she wasn't feeling hot enough to be clubbing, which is silly cuz she hot. What a ridiculous favor. Instead I hung out with her at night listening to music in her bedroom.
It was the better choice. Word on the playground was that Dragon was more fun than usual (probably because it was half off with student ID), but as I thought about it... Without good friends to go with, Dragon would just feel empty.
I have officially ended my membership as a Dragon Rat as I haven't been since the beginning of January. Aww. Looks like I'm not going to see my gay friends that have been consumed by the excitement of the City as often. (*cough* neil).

Saturday
At night, I hung out with Carl and his high school friends. A complete opposite of Aaron's party. Carl's friends had wine and cheese and Jenga. Aaron's friends had cheap sake, Budlight and beer pong. I like both experiences.
Though I don't know about the double popped collars. Carl had to excuse himself to the bathroom; he exploded with stress when he saw such a fashion faux pas.
There's Carl running to the bathroom bypassing disaster.

Reason why Bally's is superior over 24 Hour Fitness
1. Hot guys
2. Better classes
3. Hot guys
4. Better equipment
5. Hot guys
Curse my 3 year contract with 24 Hour fitness!!!! I enjoy watching straight guys "size each other up" hahaha, the gym is homoerotic.
After working out with Aaron and Caitlin, we went hottubbing. Caitlin who is a physical therapist aid and gymnast made me feel physically unworthy.
After a photoshoot, we had some free yogurt with my frequent buyer card!
Max productivity!

Joe called me to have dinner at Jerry's Grill with Mony!! I was already thrilled that I had lunch with Mony the other day! I haven't seen just Mony since I left for Vietnam! At Jerry's Grill, we caught up with each other, checked out a hot guy and joked around. Szeto HELLA MISSED OUT! (And needs to return promptly).
Though I feel like Filipino food is best served at someone's house.
Mony told me my shirt looked cheap, I give him a look and Joe laughs until he teared up... "I miss you guys..." he utters under his breath.
I realize that Mony can tell me that I'm worthless, ugly and will never accomplish anything in life, but I would rarely take umbrage. Like on Friends the TV show when they are really mean to each other, but no one ever is offended (as long as there is audience laughter).
It's family.
==
It was good to be in a familiar place. I felt grounded and reminded of who I was and where I belonged or felt comfortable. I really do have issues letting go and transitioning, but I think a little sample of what I adored so much in life- my boys, my high school friends- was enough to make me look forward to creating something new for the future.
Epic Win!

Music Genre
It's really hard to classify music because there's so much overlap... But I've created some personalized Music Genres in my iTunes. But maybe I'm getting too complicated.
Boybands - Backstreet, Nsync, 98 Degrees
Mellow White-ish Girl - Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles
Brotha With Soul -Omarion, Ne-yo, Usher
Slutty Girl Groups - Danity Kane, Pussycat Dolls
Gay Bar - Bob Sinclar, Eric Prydz, September, Enur, Ida Corr
Club Hip-Hop - T-Pain, YingYang Twins, Sean Paul, Diddy
Boy with Guitar - Jason Mraz, John Mayer
Booty Shaking Black Girls - Cassie, Rihanna, Ciara
Good Girls Gone Naughty - Britney, Christina, Lindsey Lohan
Emo Rock - Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy
Electronica - Imogen Heap, The Postal Service, MGMT
Latin - Enrique, Ricky Martin
Underground Hip-Hop - Songs by hip-hop artists that aren't mainstream but are used by dance crews and are really cool to listen to in the car
Hip-Pop - Timberland, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Fertado, Fergie
And when I don't know where they go... I put them in generics
Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, Oldies, Jazz
==
I'm having an issue with Rock and Alternative. I'm thinking of separating the songs by mood like. Angry Rock and Happy Rock.
==
I realize that I missed out on 90's R&B when Anthony was playing songs off his iPod and I didn't know any of it. I grew up with Alternative thanks to Alysia. :D.
==
My must have playlist is "Songs About Boys"... basically songs that remind me of particular boys in my life. That's actually my favorite playlist to listen to.
==
I need help with these songs/artists:
Mrs.Officer by Lil Wayne - Club Hip-Hop, R&B, Hip-Pop or just Hip-Hop?
Coldplay - Pop, Happy Rock, Alternative or just Rock?
P!nk - Rock, Good Girls Gone Naughty, or Angry Rock?
One Republic - Rock, Pop or Electronica maybe?
Leona Lewis - ... Defintely pop.. huh? yeah. Definitely. She doesn't make me feel mellow.
The Ting Tings - Electronica or Indie? I feel like a lot of Indie is Electronic sounding.
Maybe I should have a, Shopping Music genre?
It's Interesting How they Take songs and Make Them Better.. then releasing them.
2006 Version
2008 Hyper Gay version - That means stronger beats.
I like this type of gay music.
BTW: sorry about the last post of pure gibberish. It was me having blogging diarrhea.

Gaining Experience Points... so you can Evolve
I might have talked about this before...
My friend brought up an interesting point about casual sex. A lot of folks are caught up on saving sex for someone special... that crush... that perfect man. Whatever. (And a lot of folks are just closing their eyes and sucking).
When it may be beneficial just to have sex for fun to be able to practice and actual explore sexuality so that when you have that "sex that matters" you're on top of your game. You impress etc. because you were practicing while you are single instead of just sitting there maxing out that one or both of your arms.
It's like pressing buttons in the dark. You just got to do a lot of guessing and checking, push then examine. Explore....
"My problem was I wasn't picky enough." My friend has been all sorts of places, "and usually they say 'wow, i've never done that before!'" My friend can do tricks in the bedroom that can only be done by someone who has lots of practice.
I never really sat down and thought of sex as something to master, but essentially it's an important skill to be good at.. right? Messing around with a slut could be looked at in a good way: you're learning from someone who is (very) experienced... though you're also sharing fluids with the whole community.
I guess it's give and take.
And maybe that's why I have a profile on a4a, but I'm so hesitant to go down that route.
==
And as I meet folks who are bit older... I should learn to appreciate 'experience' as opposed to shun 'sluttiness.' Especially when it's so common.
But at the same times I will always find untouched Straight guys and inexperienced new gays very attractive..
