July Recap

We went wine tasting at Barnsdall Park.  Check out these cut complementary glasses.  I got a nice buzz and so did Rosario Dawson.  We waited around for a picture with her, but she aggressively declined because she was too drunk.  We politely let her be and walked away.  "The worst that could happen is they they no."  Well, it's a sad feeling when celebrities decline.

But here's a sneaky picture of her grooving to the afternoon.  What a star.

Ern's birthday at Ernie's Tacos.  I take full credit for the bomb group photo.  No awkward shuffling here.  Every year, the group grows and Ern does a really nice appreciation speech.  Look at all this love in the room.

We discovered a cute gay dive bar in Pasadena called The Boulevard.  We had a boyfriend serenade-off and guess what's happening in the bottom picture.  You got it a rendition of Proud Mary.    ROLLING DOWN THE RIVER.

Had a tiny pool party and made use of the BBQ pit: bulgogi lettuce wraps!

I connected with Irene who I haven't seen in YEARS!  She looks the same!  She claims that I do too, but lol.

Went on a pirate themed cruise ship around Marina del Rey.  YEAH, I dressed up.  What about it?!?!?!  Yeah those hats were like $6 each... and I'll never wear it again... whatever!  I got a bomb ass photo out of it.

I'm falling in love with Silverlake Reservoir.  Fly my kite, have a picnic, devour these amazing chinese fried chicken wings.

We went to San Diego for Fourth of July where Charles took advantage of OTHER people's room service.

Having more fun on these new modern playground toys than the kids around.

That's all of July!  Dear heavens, I'm almost caught up!

San Diego Trip

On April 15th, we decided to take a break from LA and absorb some San Diego sun.  But it was actually very cold.

Hung out at Balboa Park.

For some reason, we found the desert section very interesting.

Very Harry Potter
Entering the vagina tree

Such an angry Asian American
Hiyah!

We also did some kayaking and learned about the cove.  Still need to develop those shots from my underwater camera.  We went out in Hillcrest and found my friend's old apartment.  We failed to find relive my Cupid Shuffle experience in a ghetto hip hop club because they had transformed Numbers that night into the very opposite of what it's know to be.  Notttt happy that night.

Over all, it was a nice little trip.

I have found a book titled, "Walking LA."  This book includes 36 walks in different neighborhoods.  The other day, Jimmy and I discovered the Heights Steps in Los Feliz.  Sandwiched between expensive homes were these steps that belonged to no one.  In the middle was a cute bench complete with floral foliage, soda can and prescription drugs..

This guy comes down the steps and we make conversation.  "if you guys are gonna make out, use the bench over there... they can't see you... I had sex there one time!  Good day!  Oh and he's a keeper."

Oops, I guess we were obvious. He probably thought Jimmy was a trick that I picked up at the park.  Well.... either way, I'm keeping him.

I've also found this blog: http://www.365-la.com .  365 things to do in LA... this women's journey to document a different thing to do for each day of the year.  Love love love.

San Diego for Clubbing

March 10:

Jimmy: What do you want to do tonight?
Letopho: Whatever
Jimmy: Wanna go to San Diego?
Letopho: Um..
Jimmy: Sam is driving
Letopho: yes.

Somehow we found ourselves in San Diego.

Gay youngins would drive up the 5 from San Diego just to go to Rage in West Hollywood.  I found this ridiculous because it's a 2 hour drive.  How do they not crash and burn?  I find it even MORE ridiculous when San Diego has its own gay neighborhood (Hillcrest) with decent gay nightclubs.

Seriously you guys?  For Rage?

Anyway, that night, we passed those kids on the 5 and gave them a high five from the freeway because we were checking out the San Diego gay scene.

But why?  Well, mainly because Sam needed to outreach, but while we were down there... yes.

First club was Eden. Wow.  It was the "Abbey of San Diego."  Meh, attractive white boys... if you're into that.  One drink and we were out.  Rich's was next.  It was amazing.  We avoided cover by showing our student IDs.  I already loved it.

Hip Hop floor with good hip hop music.  Ghetto booty bouncing and a large house/techno/remix room that I avoided at all cost.

Ok, I did end up there for a hot second just so I can do my signature gay dance moves. Dunch dunch dunch.  And then back to the hip hop room to bump, grind, body roll, dougie etc.  I like hip hop music to get intimate.  Something about swagging over to a guy and then finding and matching their rhythm. Flirtatiously smile when you get close, popping your chest, subtly touching - thumbs in their belt holes.  Mimicking what you would be doing with them in bed.  Moving to the instructions of the song... yes. All night dance sex... connection.

One of the main things about dancing to dance remixes and techno beats is that you can't really get sexy.  I just don't feel it.  Just a lot of bouncing.

Please disagree.  I've spent an hour trying to find sexual dance/house music.  To no avail.  More bouncing and maybe spray me with a hose.  I was able though to put together a playlist called, "Acceptable Dance Music."  Some David Guetta, DJ Sammy and Deadmau5.

Satisfied after having San Diego carne asada fries.

And home we go.  Probably one of the best clubbing experiences ever.
