Danster sent me this great video of San Francisco.
"you can have something to look forward to now."
And a recommendation, "try Red jade Chinese restaurant in the Castro, the best GREEN ONION PANCAKE in the bay area and it's only 4.25! its also been on TV and gay gay friendly place"
Danster is the best!
Though I'd probably be in San Jose most of the time.

I'm going up with my Uncle (cuz he wants me to help him drive) and going back down with a slew of homosexuals. Sweet.

I was on the phone with my parents yesterday and they put me on speaker.
Mom. "My birthday is coming up, I'm turning 49. I'm getting old baby"
Letopho, "aww you're not old... I'm turning 25"
Mom, "Oh those are the best years... 25-30.. you're aggressive, young, lots of energy, enjoy it!"
Letopho, "I will"
Mom, "I'm so old and tired now."
Dad, "What do you mean!? We just went out dancing last night! I sang to you on stage."
Mom, "That's right Daddy, are you going to propose to me this weekend with a big rock?"
Letopho, "Where are you taking mom?"
Dad, "I found this place in Campbell on Yelp... "
Letopho, "yay"
Mom, "I hope Daddy gets me jewelery!!"
Dad, "eassssssssy Now"
My parents are silly... and my dad keeps sending me MMS's of the food he's eating. LOL.

Racial Humor.
This morning I got compliments on my shirt.
I responded, "Thanks! It's from Vietnam, my cousins made it with their little fingers." This elicited a chuckle.
The other night I was with a white dude who said, "Yeah, folks in Vietnam must be tired... you know having to pull the rickshaw all day" *silence* "... it was joke..."
So what's the difference? Was it the delivery? Or was it cuz he was white? Or was it that his joke was neither clever or humorous? Probably all of the above... or maybe he's just awkward.. you have to commit to those jokes man, but then if you're too confident, you seem serious, then you're a racist.
Gosh, it must be so hard for white people to make racial humor. But when Anjelah Johnson or Russell Peters or Dave Chappelle do... it's a riot.
Any good White comedians out there who do good racial humor? I'm sure. Please share a link.

Escaping LA
LA is an interesting place. Two miles from my house is a Elysian Park. It's a huge park that takes you away from the City-Suburb and the only reminder that you're in LA is the distant view of Downtown.
Today I had a picnic with Alysia and Ernesto in this neighborhood park that no one seemed to know about. One family had a barbecue, another family was playing a game of horseshoe. As I played Crazy Eights with Alysia I was re-loving LA... because I found a place where I can escape LA without having to go too far.
LA was pissing me the fuck off lately because, no one can drive. Everyday I'm yelling to myself, "GET COMPLETELY OVER TO YOUR FUCKING LANE!!!" or "WHY DIDN'T YOU SIGNAL YOU FUCKER?" It was really stressing me out. And everywhere I went I had to think, "is there street parking, do I have enough cash for valet?! Shit." All this needless stress.
And really, the only time I go out is if someone else drives me (Roommate or Work) or if I know there is guaranteed parking. Otherwise it's really stressful for me to lug my long truck in a city that I've only lived in for half a year... I'm not good at LA by myself yet. As a result, I missed out on clubbing with MoNy, which he successfully made me feel guilty about.

I'm coming home this weekend for Vietnamese New Years. I really don't want to, but my family also guilted me into coming home. Be in the bay for Valentines Weekend? Fucking Shit...
My fingers are going to start itching to text people...
Best Advice from a friend: "don't do it. it never feels as good as you think it will."
==
Can we go clubbing in San Jose Anhimals and MoAny? I think we'd have a better time being trashing in lovely downtown San Jose than in pretentious WeHo anyway. It's home.

BTW. This is the only personal tumblr I enjoy: http://facingdownebutlookingup.tumblr.com/
Check it out. Ern said his thoughts are very "early 20s." I still think they are well thought out and a good read. I connected with this blog titled "Numb."

Straight Edge
"Make sure he doesn't drive."
Done.
I had to cuss out the birthday boy to give me his fucking keys because he insisted that he sleep in his car, then drive home after.
Sometimes you just want to say "fuck it." They're drunk, they're a mess, they should take care of themselves, but I don't want to have that guilt... when I am sober and responsible and capable of being a bitch just so I don't have to worry about a friend.
"Go home, Christopher."
"Fine, then I'll just wait here." I gave him my two year old angry face with my arms crossed until he let up.
And after all of that he was grateful I took care of him.

I feel like I'm a bit straight edge.
I don't smoke. In fact I think it's disgusting and I feel like folks in LA smoke because then they'll have something to say to each other and they're stressed. In New York, they smoke because it's cold and in San Francisco, it's just artistic.
At my party I told someone I don't smoke and they high fived me... and then we had nothing else to say. The smokers in our patio seemed to have a lot more to say to each other as they tarred their teeth and stained their lungs.
I feel that I'm straight edge because being such a workaholic keeps me from being horny. I use Grindr to make friends, I use craigslist to find furniture. In fact, I live vicariously through my friend who tells me about his weekly sexcapades.... I actually look forward to those graphic stories.
I don't drink excessively unless my company pays for it. I've lost the need to get hammered and though I said I wanted to get wasted at my last house party I was content doing Party Maintenance- serving Jello Shots making Quesidillas... making sure everyone has a good time.
BUT BUT... I say that now, but maybe it's because I've been driving to places and quite frankly I am terrified of getting pulled over. "Speed, swerving, lights... take Beverly Street (which has less cops than Melrose)" I say this mantra to avoid any interaction with the police.

Anyway, it's Friday and rainy and I don't want to go to WeHo even though Fucking MoAny is there tonight. I just want to chill out with some brownies.
Come over and let's make some brownies.

Doppelgänger Week
Basically... I look like no one.
But Jimmy said I kinda...sorta... if you squint...looked like that guy from Hoobastank. Maybe if my eyes were farther a part. Bah, this is a stupid Meme that tricks me to believe that my friends look better in their recent profile photos than they actually do. =X
Let's try this again....
Hm... So I look like old Asian Politicians. UGH... I think it's the lack of Asian celebrities.
Interested-Ing
Man.
My blogging drive has drained.

Ask me anything, maybe it will inspire provocative thoughts.

There's this guy who has expressed interest in me. He was acting all silly and conversation was a bit unnatural, but I was flattered. He even made his friends wait so that he could talk to me some more. I thought to myself that it was ridiculous and played it all cool and shiet, but this was not too unfamiliar... and it put things into perspective..
...that when I.. am interested in someone I act silly. I tell them I think they're cute and run away. I struggle with conversation. I poke them on facebook and leave creepster messages.
... and this guy, that I believe is interested in me, isn't acting creepster, but maybe more silly... and I'm just waiting for him to ask me on a date or something because even though I'm not initially interested, I wouldn't mind seeing where things go... I think I need a new character in my life.
Anyway. I think it's strange when boys are interested in me... but at the same time the boys who are interested me are usually strange.... and I like that.

G.R.D.-
I thought it would be funny to poke a boy (that I was crushing) in real life as I poked him on facebook. I poked him too hard and he said ouch... and then I ran away when I saw that I had hurt him. Yeah I have so much game.
