Talking to Boys Gets Me Thinking

"I believe we're more pieces of clay that mold into one another as opposed to rigid pieces with only one rigid complement"
-A Boy

The Case of Bitch Face

Letopho: Did anyone hit on you at the club?
Friend: No one ever hits on me
Letopho: Aw, really?
Friend: Yeah, I think I have the case of "bitch face"
Letopho: OOOH! I wanna see your "bitch face!!!"
*conversation ends*

I think he closed my window.

Yeah, you love it Carl. 4th note harmony baby!

I used to think folks in their mid 20s making videos were odd... but DAYM I can do this shizz all day.

The Count Down

Apartment 321 was too good to be true. Good parking, great location, cheap rent... will all end in August when our lease ends. The owner wants to renovate and unfortunately that means we'll have to find a new place.

Renovate? Despite the leaky roof, the old foundation, doors that lead nowhere, the ghosts... there's NOTHING wrong with 321... unless there was an earthquake, then we're all dead.

Last month was our "Frat Party."
Once again- amazing turn out. Epic beer pong and flip cup tournaments and half hourly jello shots served by me. It got loud and we're thankful there were no complaints.

I also served about 30 quesidillas. Boys cant seem to get enough.

I love party maintenance. Making sure others have a good time makes me have a good time.

Just a couple of pictures that don't show much of the happenings. Who's that guy in the yellow kimono? Our couch surfer!

The count down begins now with a list of things we want to do with our time here at 321.
-Birthdays
-Summer BBQ
-Luau Themed Party
-More kick backs
-Movie nights with Ern's projector

And my personal goal.. have sex here... I really haven't had the opportunity to utilize my "private" space in LA. Especially when I hear sex sounds from Ern's room weekly, but that could be him doing yoga.

Date, League, Loyalty

Date

My date last Tuesday was good.

Good conversation, no sparks. I felt bad that he paid, but youre paying to take someone you're interested out. Right? Anyway, I offered to take him out next time.. it was nice to have a legit date by heteronormative standards- meet through a friend, get invited to dinner, conversation... casual.

T'was nice.

League

I was chatting with a buddy who proclaimed, "he's out of my league." And I thought about what that means. I think it's a depressing idea and I would like to think that we are all in ONE league...

Meh.

"Oh whatever, he's just another gay with the same insecurities." ... despite his pretty face, charming personality, good job...

He wants the same thing you want. And if he feels he's too good to give you a chance.. then you don't want to be with a guy like that anyway. Don't feel inadequate, ever.

While taking a few hits...

I chatted with a dude who came out in his later twenties or what I call a "late bloomer," yet his ideas of dating seemed realistic and mature. It reflect his age despite his delayed path to grand homosexuality.

Not word for word.. but generally speaking, this is what he said:

"If I'm horny, I'll mess around and that'll happen until we establish exclusivity. Hooking up is hooking up... I'm not too concerned with commitment, what I am concerned with is "emotional loyalty." Have all the fun, but let me know how you feel."

I was so turned on by his thoughts, but it could have been the 420.

Vision

My contact lens ripped in my eye so I went to the eye doctor to fish out the left over pieces. I walked out with hipster glasses that are probably going to go out of style in 3 months. God, they are such sales people. But I had my old glasses since college, so it was time for an upgrade.

My vision is so poor. -7.25. I had to get non reflective, high index lenses so that my eyes didn't minify too much- that made my Persol frames $125 more expensive.

Bah.

Speaking of style. My parents have all of it.... Dad's been doing the American Apparel thing for ages... and that little boy is me.

What Up Man?

Thanks Ryan for teaching me how to use iMovie... great.. I'm never gonna get off my computer.

Yeah... that's what's up.

Staring at the Ceiling.

I was staring at the ceiling for about 30 minutes thinking about my love life... with out my -7.25 glasses the ceiling was blurry.

...thinking about my ad that I posted about wanting to have an interesting convo with someone and getting terribly unsought disgusting naked pictures from strangers. I had one conversation with a FOB about Vietnamese New Years and then he wanted to see pictures of my "hotdog."

I thought about how my itchy fingers texted James "hello." As expected, he did not respond. I imagined that he changed his number because I can't seem to leave him alone. Why do I itch to contact him? And I deleted his number for good. The idea that "just in case he calls..." began to disappear.

I thought about how last week, I hopped onto my OKcupid and messaged a couple of interesting folks... but came out dry.

I thought about how I asked Jimmy who was in New Orleans to send me a cute picture of himself, which he did and it made me happy for... 30 minutes.

I dreamt that I was making out with a girl from the office. And gagged a little.

I thought about my high school friend Aaron and the dysfunctional and damaged boys that he's been flirting with... I thought about his, "yeah... I'd rather have these no-goes than nothing at all" in response to my inquery.

I thought about the date that I have a with a boy that was "smitten" by me. I wondered where we would go to eat... and if this would even lead to anything.

I thought about what my Grandma said to my 35 year old cousin last night, "I hope you get married soon, so that I can die."

I thought about my conversation with a white boy from Grindr who didn't know what Vietnamese New Years entailed. I was happy that he wasn't fetishizing culture, but strangely sad that he was disconnected to something that was important to me. =Paradox=. He talked to about how he used to think commitment was overrated, but is currently over that idea.

I thought about the physically attractive multidimensional Vietnamese boy I hung out with last night with a group of friends and how I wanted to kiss his straight lips... I concluded that I'd like to date a Vietnamese boy again.

I thought about how my parents didn't come home until 3AM 4AM last night because they were out partying again with their crazy middle aged Vietnamese friends who can't seem to get enough Heineken and Karaoke.

I thought about the song that my dad composed for my mom with both English and Vietnamese lyrics. He joked about getting Michael Buble to sing it for him.

I thought about what I want... a boyfriend? psh, no. a playfriend? hmm.. sure. a hook up? not really.

I thought about how... I just want to feel something.

And now that these thoughts are out on paper digital... I can move on. Work tomorrow? YES!
