Maybe I am having better luck with boys in LA.

Hairchive: The THICKKK Bang. (It took a while because my forehead is gargantuan.

I think it's because I'm in a new place.
It's such a turn off that people know each other... it's like incest when you're trying to holler at someone and discover that you already have 20 mutual friends... how much do they already know about you... or can find out about you?

Especially now where the folks that I know in the bay seem to mixing so that everyone is obligated to give Dragon hugs and kisses to everyone else when they know jack shit about each other. A simple handshake or straight head nod would be sufficient.

But I guess it makes sense, gay folks are continually in search of "good gay friends" that won't back stab them, use them, or hurt them emotionally (guilty). And are very eager to shout "NEXT" when they get bored, disappointed or hurt.
I like to try invest my time in the people I know well. I try not to be so eager to move on just because they did something stupid.. and gay people do some pretty stupid stuff to each other, arguably unforgivable.

And in LA, the folks that I do know are VERY loosely linked to me. No crazy incest-ial social web. It's refreshing to start a blank-ISH social slate. To re-create a strong foundation of good close friends and find lovers that can't link back to me through one degree of seperation.

"Are you Up?"
I've known this guy before. When I was first introduced in February- he was awkward, sort of weird and socially inexperienced. When he learned that I moved down, he made an effort to see me. In the middle of the night he texted, "Are you up? I want to cuddle."

Adorable.

I was with friends, so I couldn't, but I'm not usually one to turn down bedtime company.

Yesterday he took me out on a date. I noticed that he was more attractive than our last encounter. His words were fluid, his jokes were charming and as he talked about having a professional gym trainer, I couldn't help but imagine myself rip his clothes off to see.

He was convinced that I had been working out, I responded, "no.. it's the shirt." It's always the shirt.

Gay Asians, White Gays
He told me about his frustration with white people and how gay Asians are a triple minority: rejected by society, Asian family and then the community because gay Asian men are on the bottom of the totem pole. I would argue- Asian guys often dont talk to white guys the same as white guys don't approach Asian guys. Unless there's a fetish involved... in either direction. You often stay where you're comfortable...in your community...genre so to speak.

I tried to flirt, touch his shoulders, tangle our legs while we sat, say shit like, "but I'd like to spend more time with you." I wanted the date to pass the "meal with a friend," and get to the... "I'm interested... can we flirt instead of talking about work?" Eventually we got there when he talked about ropes, handcuffs and blindfolds. Wow.

Policy
I brought him back to my place and he awkwardly sat on my bed. While telling stories I caressed his hand. "Maybe I should go... I don't want to keep you up, you have work."

I found myself forward, "actually, I don't mind.. I would like your company."

Maybe because I was flattered when he suggested that we cuddled in that previous text, but after that, I really wanted to pursue it.

I held onto my first date = first base policy and he left at 1AM.

He was very good kisser/biter.

Take me Now
He doesn't have many gay friends. He lives 10 minutes away. He claims to know good LA food and wants to go to culinary school next year because he's sick of being an analyst. He commented that he had an extra boogyboard and wants to take me to the beach. FUCK I'm sold, take me now.

Housewarming.. and Shit Talking

House warming party this Saturday. Shit, 70 people gays were invited and only 15 of those were mine. =X. The house isn't even ready yet! OMG!!!

I found a baby seat inside the walls. When I pulled it out, it made a scrapping noise and my heart dropped. It was like the Grudge and I freaked out. After I pulled it out, I decided to put it back in so not to upset any spirits. There was also a child's luggage with colone inside.
Freaky.

I hate it when I go to use the restroom and sit on the toilet and it's just one HUGE fart. Then I have to decide if I need to flush because.. it was just air. I need beano.

Labor Day weekend, the boys kept talking about their shit. MoAny likes his like soft serve. I think Eric likes it quick and all at once like dropping an atomic bomb.

Yeah, I love my boys!

Touchy Drunk

Ugh. West Hollywood three weeks in a row and I stayed well behaved. Aside from a bacon wrapped hotdog.

Nope, never have I made out at the club... But I do get touchy feely. As in... I'll hug the shit out of you.

Why do we even go? Same reason why I went to Dragon, to see club friends and give hugs and kisses.

Thanks to James Z. there are a dozen very unflattering pictures of me on the facebook for all to see. Most of which are pictures of me hugging people aggressively. I confirmed that his privacy settings were, "ONLY friends" can view. Hopefully, he's not direct friends with coworkers.

It was also thanks to James Z. that I have a new hairchive. Please enjoy a very ugly picture of me.

August Recap

In no particular order some pictures and events I haven't posted (Gotta recap before I talk about my Labor Day Weekend!:

After some Tapas, we cruised the city in a Ed's yellow Jeep. I loved experiencing the night in a Jeep. All the smells, the air... reminds me of traveling by moped in Vietnam. This cheese dish was so good, though the texture was like boogers. And we are reenacting MIA's Jimmy Music Video. The only good song they played at this gay club called, "Shits and Giggles."

Good bye to Michelle and Harriet! Some rice porridge and drinks in the OC! This is the fun we had that didn't involve locking my keys in the car.

Dim Sum overkill. We ordered for 5, but only 3 showed up. This is us, "POUNDING IT"

Hollywood Farmers Market with Alysia! I got my face painted by these retired Ringling Brothers clowns! The prepared food was amazing and I'm loving the endless samples!

Nisei Week in Little Tokyo! My favorite dish: Okonomiyaki! A must eat!

Gay Club on Tuesdays in Santa Ana at Proof. Random. Never ever going to the OC on a weekday, I wanted to die at work the next day.

Andy left for Taiwan! Thanks for giving me your bed!

Sally and Carl in LA. Yum to Baja Style Fish Tacos!

Monypedia

MoAny is full of uselessful facts!

Monypedia, What's a better mixer for Vodka?
Pineapple juice, kills the flavor of vodka the best

Monypedia, what are onions good for?
"A whole bunch of things, like scars.. that's what Mederma is made out of"

Monypedia, why are those tennis players grunting so much?
"Fatigue, the later the set, the more tired they are and they grunt to help get energy."

Monypedia, what food are Cambodians known for?
"Beef skewers, I ate this with rice everyday as a kid"

And then suddenly he stopped answering. So I responded, "OH Monypedia must be down for maintenance."

My Boys came down to visit me this ENTIRE weekend. It was epic. But it's difficult to achieve MES (Max Efficient Saturdays) in LA where there is traffic, no parking and everyone is grumpy because my truck is a little uncomfortable. Also, the heat was tiring everyone.

The best day was when everyone slept in, had a quick meal, slept some more, ate dinner, watched a movie in the hotel room and went to dance. Bay Area Boys like it simple.

So much to blog. Lots of good moments.
I miss XCIX!

Investing in Your Looks

Sometimes I feel that when someone is attractive, they're attractive all the time; whatever their hair looks like or whatever clothes they wear. For instance, models can wear trash bags and still love very attractive, I guess because that's their job.

But check this dude out I found on downelink because I was lonely, bored, lame.

I guess in his case, he's more attractive without clothes and a nice Korean haircut. It makes me wonder how much better folks would look if they knew how to dress (or not dress) and how to do their hair.

Maybe I should get into the LA stereotype and take care of my body, buy ridiculously expensive fashionable clothing and get haircuts that cost more than 8 dollars so that my head doesn't look lopsided.

HAH, FUCK THAT! My roommate is cutting my hair today and I'm looking forward to the intimate time vs. the cut itself. "Cut my hair, I trust you." Plus, I'm going to save that money for alcohol.

Sam finished cutting my hair and I LOVE IT!

I have an aggressive bang and clean sides. You can tell it was home done because the edges are jagged. But I think it's charming. I haven't been able to take a good picture, but it basically looks like this:

lol. sort of.

Sex on the Brain, Not in the Bed

Welcome to 321 and a Half
The name of our apartment.

I describe my house as Sabrina the Teenage Witch's House. Szeto describes it as the gypsy house from "Drag Me to Hell" (Great movie, must see.)

Though, I can't help but feel that it may be haunted. With doors that go no where, cubby holes large enough for creatures to hide in and light bulbs missing, I definitely wouldn't want to be there alone.

Michelle ALSO lives in the attic in her new DC home. I guess we like to Anne Frank it. See that window on the very top? That's mine!

The old tenants were dirty, not dirty dishes dirty, but CHICKEN BONES on the carpet, CAT SHIT in Tupperware, CAT HAIR EVERYWHERE dirty. I went out and bought a box of latex gloves. But it's not our place to complain because they hooked us up with an unheard of price.

They still have their shit there though, so Ernesto and I had to retreat to Sam's room for the night. It was a cute brotherly slumber party. Sam has a great room, the sun and birds woke me up!

Ernesto said, "never would I have thought I would be living with you." Ernesto seems to enjoy my company because I not linked to him sexually, I'm not an ex, I'm just a friend that laughs at his jokes and keeps him company on random food ventures. WHICH is exactly what I need as well. Epic WIN!

I am so excited to decorate, so excited to make it my own and so excited to invite boys over so that I can seduce them.

Man I need a gallon of Lysol and Febreeze

The night before, I was at my sublet and said to myself, "um.. it would be nice to have some bed time company." So I used my 21st century resources and found some dude who lived near me. After I sent him my picture he responded, "we see each other around...kinda wanna cut back on the awkwardness...sorry."

I JUST MOVED HERE. And he recognized me?! Great. And then he stopped responding even though I said, ":D we have mutual friends??? Sigh. I just moved here too. Anyway, let's be friends then."

Ridiculous, it was for the best and I fell asleep.

==

Speaking of awkward, I messaged a really cute guy on the facebook:
"I find you ridiculously attractive. The ladies are lucky. Cheers"

He responded, "Thanks dood. Do me a favor and tell them for me. They tend to believe the contrary."

Adorable. So modest. Made me want him more.

But why do I put myself through this?

Chris Self Induced Fail.

I had a discussion with my roommates about etiquette. One of them said, "what about public sex?" We fell silent, "you know, like 'no sex on the couch?'" APPARENTLY someone forgot that there was a purpose of having your own room.

Shit, this is going to be a fun house.
