Crafts Fair Weekend

Lots and lots of crafts during the weekend of December 11.

LA has a formula for any event it hosts- photo booth, DJ and food trucks.  I feel like everything hip/cool in LA will have all three elements.

The Renegade Craft Fair

Held at the Los Angeles State Historic there were tons of booths of everything you've seen on Etsy.com.

Same clever posters, same cute t-shirts, same home made stamps, wood things, old library books turned into notebooks, cute cards.  Maybe I've gone to too many festivals with the same vendors, but nothing really stood out.

Alysia did find a handmade purse that she instantly fell in love with.  Don't you love it when that happens?

The downtown skyline looked gorgeous during sunset.

My hunt for Fry Smith's Poutine was over!  Mmmm Fries, gravy and cheese curd!  A must try Canadian concoction!

Official pictures from their FLICKR.

UNIQUE LA

The next day was Unique LA! in Downtown LA.. which is like Renegade Crafts except... INDOORS!
The emphasis is supporting local independent artists.

Ew RUDE.  Some ugly photobomber ruined my Ugly Sweater pic
What's in your gift bag?  COUPONS!!!! And obscure drinks that we would never buy in stores!

Arts and Crafts time!  Ern and I made robot ornaments for the Christmas tree

Ern | Mine - Why do you always have to be better than me Ern!?!?

Kauzbots was the most interesting booth.  10% of the profits go to a cause represented by the Kauzbot that was purchased.  Ern got the one for clean water and put in our white elephant!  Cute cute cute.

Unique LA was so unique!  It had a DJ, a photo booth and some food trucks catering.
Though, DJ was pretty amazing.  Ghetto Ludacris jams helped with my craft shopping.
